The second phase of the Southern African Innovation Support Programme (SAIS 2) is a regional initiative set up by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland in partnership with the Southern African Development Community (SADC) secretariat and the governments of Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia. The objective of SAIS 2 is to support regional innovation cooperation contributing to enhanced entrepreneurship, stronger innovation ecosystems and more inclusive businesses.
SAIS 2 invites organizations that support innovation and entrepreneurship in SADC to submit concept notes and subsequently full proposals for grant funding. Window 1: Developing institutional capacity for regional innovation cooperation
Window 2: Scaling enterprises through stronger innovation support organisations
Window 3: Inclusive Innovation
Innovation support organizations from research/academia, civil society and in particular from private sector – such as innovation hubs, labs, incubators and accelerators hosting and providing services for entrepreneurs – are encouraged to apply.
