SANBio’s strategies for the period of 2013-2018 are enacted through three programmes:
- Research, Development and Innovation – targeted to achieving a minimum of $40 million research portfolio in the Network and at least two products reaching the end user;
- Increasing Capacity – targeted to having at least $5 million allocated to supporting people for postgraduate degrees, enhancing skills in targeted support areas, and at least $25 million in infrastructure support;
- Management and Financial Sustainability – targeted to mobilising at least $80 million, with 20% from Member States, ensuring quarterly reporting of results, having the Secretariat, Hub and Nodes fully operational, and having an extensive collaboration within and outside the network. These programmes each have a series of initiatives for achieving their targets.
