SANBio Parallel Session at the 5th African Higher Education Week: Finding ways to attract private sector to invest in Bioscience Innovations

NEPAD-SANBio hosted a side event at the 5th African Higher Education Week and RUFORUM Biennial Conference 2016 on the 19th of October 2016 under the theme “Innovating Sustainable Partnerships in Nutrition”. The objective of the side event was to share ideas on novel partnerships for advancing the scaling-up of technologies, funding and models of coordinating research in the SADC region. The side event attracted more than 60 participants.

The NEPAD-Southern Africa Network for Biosciences participated in the 5th African Higher Education Week and RUFORUM Biennial Conference 2016 from the 18th to 21st October 2016, at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town. This year’s theme for the conference was “Linking Universities with Private Sector, Governments and other Stakeholders in support of Agriculture Development in Africa”. The emphasis was on enhancing university engagement with the Private Sector, Civil Society and CGIAR.
