NEPAD SANBio Call for applications: SA female undergraduate students to attend the FemBioBiz season 3 regional finale in Cape Town

NEPAD SANBio will present the FemBioBiz Acceleration Programme Season 3 regional finale at the 2019 AWIEF Awards to be held at the Cape Town ICC from 29 - 30 October 2019.

5 lucky female students from the following universities: North West University, University of Venda, Sol Plaatjie University, Durban University of Technology, University of Zululand, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, University of Limpopo, Mangosuthu University of Technology, Tshwane University of Technology, Vaal University of Technology, Walter Sisulu University, Central University of Technology, University of Mpumalanga and students from previously disadvantage backgrounds stand a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to attend the 2019 FemBioBiz regional finale.

Background

FemBioBiz is a female entrepreneurial acceleration programme launched by the Southern Africa Network for Biosciences (NEPAD SANBio) in 10 SADC member states.

The programme aims to strengthen in-country ecosystems that support female bio-entrepreneurs and female students working on health products and services, nutrition related products, and natural products.

Eligibility

  • Must be a female undergraduate currently studying towards any STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines.
  • Applications are only eligible to SA students
  • Age:18 - 35 years
