Haikali Ndamona - Bioculture Standard Analysis Laboratory
Bioculture aims to satisfy and accomplish the following in agriculture through:
- Genetically modifying the seeds of Pennisetum glaucum and sorghum so that they can increase their chances of growing well in drought, pests, weeds and ability to use natural resources effectively.
- Researching and preserving the indigenous seeds and their genetics, especially those going extinct; a seed bank will be established for such seeds to preserve their genetics and make them available to farmers and crop growers throughout the year.
- Microbial testing of agricultural fresh products to facilitate farmers to sell their products in local shops.
- Researching and identifying indigenous crops' genes, biochemistry, and metabolic pathways in order to identify other beneficial uses among their common uses.
