The second Science Forum South Africa (SFSA 2016) was held on 8-9th December 2016 at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria with more than 1 600 participants from more than 70 countries and 68 exhibitors from local and international organisations. NEPAD-SANBio was awarded a Best Exhibition Award.
The award is a testimony of NEPAD-SANBio’s efforts in Science diplomacy in the continent. The Southern Africa Network for Biosciences had the opportunity to share its work and success stories with local and international scientists, students, policy makers and the public at the second Science Forum South Africa. The network will continue to provide opportunities and a platform for innovation and also encourage collaboration within the regional, continental and international levels to solve health and nutrition challenges faced by the African continent.
